(PLANO – Conservative Jeff Leach today announced the endorsement of conservative leader Kelly Shackelford, President and CEO of Liberty Institute.
“It is with great excitement that I announce my support and endorsement of Jeff Leach for Texas House district 67. First and foremost, Jeff is a devoted man of faith. He and his wife, Becky, are long time members of Prestonwood Baptist Church where they have faithfully served in ministry to the community for years. Likewise, he is a husband and father, and has the strong convictions necessary to stand up and defend the assault on our children and families today. Also, Jeff is strongly pro-life, and I believe he is one of the up and coming leaders in the battle to protect the unborn in Texas. He is a man of wisdom and vision, and he has the courage and moral fiber to be a champion for true conservatives in Austin. Jeff has lived in Collin County for most of his life and will represent his home well in the Texas Legislature in 2013!” Kelly stated in his endorsement.
As president and CEO of Liberty Institute, Kelly Shackelford has argued before the United States Supreme Court, testified before the U.S. House and Senate on Constitutional issues. He has devoted his life and career to protecting our freedoms and liberties at all costs.
“Kelly Shackelford is a hero for true conservatives in this nation. I shudder to think where we would be without his leadership on key issues such as the sanctity of life, the First Amendment, religious liberty and other constitutional rights. Kelly is not only an expert, he is also a man of great faith, and he knows what is needed to restore and renew our state and nation before it is too late. I truly am honored to have his support and friendship.” Jeff Leach said in response to Kelly’s endorsement.
Leach is running for Texas House of Representative in District 67. As a graduate of SMU’s Dedman School of Law, he currently practices with the law firm of Griffith Nixon Davison, P.C. He received his undergraduate degree from Baylor University, where he served two terms as Student Body President. Jeff was raised in Plano and graduated from Plano Senior High School. He and his wife Becky are active members of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano. They live in Plano with their children, Brady and Charlotte.
