State Representative Jeff Leach Files Paperwork Seeking
Re-Election to the Texas House of Representatives

State Representative Jeff Leach has officially filed paperwork to continue his service representing the people of House District 67 in the Texas House of Representatives.  Representative Leach is seeking a fourth term to serve District 67, which includes portions of Plano, Allen, Richardson, and Dallas in Collin County.

‚ÄúServing in the Texas House of Representatives is truly the honor and privilege of a lifetime,‚ÄĚ stated Representative Leach.¬†¬†‚ÄúLooking ahead, I am more eager than ever to roll up my sleeves and continue fighting and advocating for the citizens, families, business owners, educators, and neighbors of House District 67.¬†¬†Becky and I are humbled by the overwhelming support we have received from our community ‚Äď and we look forward to continuing to meet with constituents to share our conservative message of economic prosperity, limited government, and pro-family values –¬†¬†all of which distinguish the Lone Star State as a true beacon of hope and opportunity.‚ÄĚ

Representative Leach has achieved remarkable legislative successes throughout the course of serving three terms in office, including authoring and championing¬†a landmark provision limiting the state‚Äôs ability to recklessly expand Obamacare, and passing legislation providing substantial tax relief for small businesses subject to the onerous franchise tax. Further, Jeff has been on the forefront in the fight to strengthen public education by working to ensure that more tax dollars make it to the classroom ‚Äď where they do the most good ‚Äď while working to attract and retain hardworking teachers and making good on the promises made to our retired teachers.¬†¬†With a 100% meeting policy, Jeff understands that the best policy ideas come from the people he is elected to serve.¬†¬†To that end, after visiting with several concerned constituents, he authored and passed legislation reining in overzealous HOAs ‚Äď a significant milestone for private property rights. ¬†Further, after hearing valued feedback from local law enforcement, Jeff successfully authored legislation ensuring tougher penalties for sexual offenders who threaten our neighborhoods, and helped implement reforms for victims of domestic violence.

With his announcement for re-election, Representative Leach is proud to announce the backing of Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis, who issued the following statement in support of his candidacy:¬†“As my State Representative, Jeff Leach has fought hard to keep our children safe from dangerous predators.¬†¬†Jeff is honest, inspiring, and a man of his word.¬†¬†He is a friend of law enforcement and deserves our full support.‚ÄĚ

Most recently, Jeff cosponsored legislation banning¬†¬†rogue ‚ÄúSanctuary Cities‚ÄĚ that undermine the Rule of Law and advocated for additional funding to secure the Texas border.¬† Additionally, Jeff worked collaboratively with law enforcement, child advocacy groups, and various non-profits to initiate bold reforms within CPS while adding much needed funding towards our state‚Äôs crippled foster care system. ¬†Jeff also led the charge in the Texas House towards addressing a growing epidemic on Texas‚Äô college campuses by successfully authoring legislation that works to empower victims of sexual assault.

Representative Leach is proud to announce the endorsement from community leader and Plano Deputy Mayor Pro Tem, Ron Kelley.¬†¬†‚ÄúJeff Leach has the heart of a true servant leader,‚ÄĚ stated Kelley. ¬†His principles and values shine while serving the citizens of House District 67, making Collin County and Texas the greatest place to live. ¬†Jeff Leach is needed in the Texas House; therefore, I fully support my good friend for re-election!‚ÄĚ

Based on his work during the most recent legislative session, Representative Leach has earned distinguished accolades and endorsements from various renowned organizations, including:

Trayce Bradford, President of Texas Eagle Forum, issued the following statement in support of Representative Leach‚Äôs candidacy:¬†‚ÄúRepresentative Leach is a principled leader and faithful public servant with a deep love for his Lord, family and truth.¬†Jeff Leach is a work horse ‚Äď not a show horse ‚Äď and for years has worked diligently behind the scenes to advance public policies that make Texas a shining beacon for the conservative cause.¬† Jeff and Becky give me great hope for the future of Texas and the citizens of Collin County would be immensely blessed for him to continue serving as their strong voice and advocate in the Texas House. ¬†Scott and I are proud to wholeheartedly support Jeff Leach for re-election to the Texas House.‚ÄĚ

A fifth-generation Texans with deep roots in North Texas, Representative Leach was born and raised in Plano and is a graduate of Plano Senior High School.¬†¬†Leach earned his undergraduate degree from Baylor University and went on to earn his law degree from Southern Methodist University‚Äôs Dedman School of Law.¬†¬†Named a 2017 ‚ÄúRising Star‚ÄĚ by¬†Texas Super Lawyer, Jeff currently practices at the law firm of Gray Reed & McGraw, P.C. in Dallas, where he specializes in complex commercial and civil litigation, construction law, and real estate. ¬†Jeff proudly serves on the Board of Trustees for Houston Baptist University.¬† Jeff also serves on the Board of Trustees for Medical City of Plano and the Advisory Board for Meals on Wheels of Collin County.
