ALLEN ISD SCHOOL BOARD TRUSTEES ENDORSE AND SUPPORT STATE REP. JEFF LEACH FOR RE-ELECTION

ALLEN — Today, State Representative Jeff Leach announced he has been endorsed for re-election by five Allen ISD School Board Trustees: Louise Master, Sarah Mitchell, Vatsa Ramanathan, David Noll and Kevin Cameron. Representative Leach, a product of public schools in HD 67 and current Allen resident with three children attending public schools in Allen ISD, is running for his fifth-term as State Representative for House District 67, which encompasses portions of Allen, Plano, Richardson and Dallas in Collin County. Today’s announcement adds to the growing momentum of support for Representative Leach’s re-election by multiple local organizations and leaders, including Collin County Sheriff Jim Skinner, numerous City Council members from Allen, Plano and Richardson, the Plano and Richardson Police Associations, the Plano and Richardson Fire Associations, the Collin County Association of Realtors and Collin County Judge Chris Hill and all four Collin County Commissioners.
Louise Master, an Allen ISD Trustee since 2007, said, “I’ve worked with Jeff Leach for several years now and can attest first-hand to his tireless commitment to the families and educators in Allen ISD. As we emerge from the crisis created by COVID-19 and look forward to the future, his experience and leadership in Austin will be key to ensure Allen ISD remains strong. I proudly and eagerly support his re-election.”
Trustee Vatsa Ramanathan stated,“During his time in the Texas House, Jeff Leach has been a bold and effective advocate and a true friend of public education. With his own three children attending our schools, he has a strong understanding and grasp of the challenges and opportunities facing our students and educators and he is uniquely situated to continue to deliver on their behalf. I am proud to support his re-election and encourage my friends in Allen to do the same.”
Trustee Sarah Mitchell followed, stating, “Jeff Leach cares deeply about our students and their families and our devoted educators in Allen. Whether it’s reducing standardized testing, delivering on school finance reform, advocating on behalf of our special education students or ensuring pay raises for our educators, Jeff has worked tirelessly on behalf of Allen public schools in the Texas House. Without question, he deserves to be re-elected and I am proud to endorse him.”
