SCOPE Act – House Bill 18

We’ve all seen firsthand the addictive nature and negative impact that social media has on our children. Social media companies are pushing harmful algorithms, promoting scary and deceitful content, and are harvesting our children’s data. In response, the Texas House passed House Bill 18, the Securing Children Online through Parental Empowerment (SCOPE) Act. This legislation, which Representative Leach was proud to support and co-author will empower parents and give them the tools they need to help protect their children online.
