Texas Municipal Police Association Endorses Representative Jeff Leach for Re-Election
February 10, 2020ALLEN – Today, Representative Jeff Leach announced he has received the support and endorsement of the Texas Municipal Police Association (TMPA), the state’s largest law enforcement association, representing over 29,000 local, county and state law enforcement personnel.
TMPA Deputy Executive Director of Government Affairs, Mitch Landry, stated “Time and again, at home in the district and in the Texas Capitol, Jeff Leach has proven his support of our state’s law enforcement officers and his commitment to keeping our communities safe. He has worked tirelessly on our behalf, and on behalf of the Texans we serve, to ensure our officers have the resources they need to keep our communities safe. Further, Representative Leach has been on the front lines to advance strong, common sense legislation to crack down on lawbreakers and to protect and support those innocent Texans they prey upon.”
“No one understands the needs and challenges of law enforcement in House District 67 better than Jeff Leach. TMPA and our brave officers throughout House District 67 are proud to support and endorse him and will be working tirelessly to ensure he returns to the Texas House to continue his good work on our behalf,” said Landry.
In response to the TMPA endorsement, Representative Leach stated, “To state that I’m honored to have the endorsement and support of our law enforcement officers, both here at home and across the State of Texas, would be an immense understatement. These brave men and women selflessly serve and sacrifice on our behalf, working faithfully to keep our communities safe. It’s been a true blessing to work with them, arm in arm, during my time in the Texas House to ensure they have the tools and resources they need to crack down on those who break our laws and to protect and support those innocent Texans whom they target. I look forward to our continued partnership and collaboration as we seek to build upon all the important victories we’ve accomplished together.”
