Tough Border Security Measures Pass the Texas House!

While great strides were made during the regular legislative session, Representative Leach was proud to vote for and help pass even more border security bills during the third Special Session. House Bill 4 creates a state-level offense for “illegal entry from a foreign nation” so Texas law enforcement can order those entering illegally to return to their country.

The Texas House also appropriated an additional $1.5 Billion to construct and maintain border barriers and raised the mandatory minimum sentence for human smuggling and the operation of a stash house. These bills, along with those passed during the regular session, will go a long way in keeping our citizens and communities safe.
